The luxury cruise line offered guests a distinctive vantage point from aboard its newest ship, EXPLORA II.
During the 2025 Formula 1 Tag Heuer Grand Prix de Monaco, Explora Journeys—the luxury lifestyle travel brand from the MSC Group—offered a distinctive new way to experience race weekend. Aboard its newest ship, EXPLORA II, docked in Port Hercule, guests found a calm, curated space in the heart of Monaco’s most high-octane event.
The weekend launched with a special edition of the Vanity Fair Club on board, co-hosted by Vanity Fair‘s Simone Marchetti and Explora Journeys’ President Anna Nash. Guests included Prince Alexandre Grimaldi, Princess Alexandra de Hanovre, Flavio Briatore, and Renault CEO Luca de Meo—bringing together figures from fashion, business, sport, and royalty in an intimate, elevated setting.
Throughout the event, EXPLORA II offered a front-row seat to the race and an immersive programme blending sport, design, and culture. Appearances by Formula 1 greats including Sir Jackie Stewart, David Coulthard, Mika Häkkinen, and current drivers Pierre Gasly and Franco Colapinto added to the experience.
Guests explored racing-inspired activations—VR simulators, trivia challenges, and a miniature onboard circuit—before shifting into a slower gear with curated showcases from Buccellati, Panerai, and Piaget. Highlights included haute horlogerie masterclasses, private jewellery viewings, and artisan demonstrations.
In the evenings, guests enjoyed elegant affairs with Champagne on deck, live music and panoramic views of the Riviera under starlight.
