AUTOMOTIVE OF THE YEAR: RANGE ROVER SV
Ask the likes of Federer or Hamilton; the hardest job in the world is to remain numero uno—at any apex, there’s a perennial target affixed to your back, a procession of hungry competitors nipping eagerly at your heels. The engineers, designers and marketers responsible for the Range Rover SV (Special Vehicle Operations) would no doubt recognise the predicament, that intoxicating cocktail of quiet hubris and vulnerability. In what has been, over the past decade, the hottest market in the autobiz, the model has maintained its position as king of the luxury-SUV palace—and a much-revered one, at that—by fusing brutal high-performance and slinky craftsmanship with an unmistakable, sporty attitude. This motoring monarch indeed wears many crowns.
And that’s the peculiar magic conjured by this Rangey: aesthetically it doesn’t feel out of sync outside, say, the Casino de Monte- Carlo, even in the company of costlier, supposedly more exotic peacocks (and with 452 kW and a 0-to-100 km/h time of 4.5 seconds, it doesn’t need to feel self-conscious about its dynamism, either). You could roll up to the forecourt on a grand social calendar evening and still feel a spine-tingle of specialness that owning a genuinely great car imparts. At the same time, its utilitarian roots are never far from the surface: the SV is still an imperious off-road machine, owing largely to its rarely rivalled all-wheel steering and advanced Terrain Response System.
Whether cruising the Principality’s gilded streets, charging full pelt along a curvaceous B-road or bumping along rocky forest trails, a layer of minimalist interior sophistication gives the SV its edge, bathed as you are in bespoke materials (satin ceramic controls, inspired by luxury watch dials), open-pore wood veneers and optional marquetry inlays—with further possibilities for bespoke personalisation. Combined with poised handling and noise cancelling tech, the Range Rover provides a five-star cocoon from the outside world —a penthouse suite on wheels—even if you are travelling at more than 200 km/h. That’s because this is a car for all moments; a car for all times. Numero uno for life. €242,661
BEST HYPERCAR: PININFARINA BATTISTA

In a category defined by superlatives, the Pininfarina Battista still defies apt descriptors when it comes to acceleration, agility and design. The most powerful vehicle ever offered in the more than two decades of Robb Report’s Car of the Year contest—which is held across multiple global editions—the 1,397 kW machine is now our choice to be named Best of the Best in the bleeding-edge hypercar segment. The zero-emissions projectile, limited to no more than 150 examples, is propelled by four electric motors (one at each wheel) paired with a 120 kWh battery pack that delivers a claimed maximum range of 482 km, depending on which of the five drive modes is selected.
As for performance metrics, the 2,380 kg Battista—with a carbon-fibre monocoque chassis as its foundation—dispatches zero to 96 km/h in 1.8 seconds on its way to a top speed of 349 km/h, all while the pilot is ensconced in a customised cockpit. More eye-catching is the elegantly sculpted exterior, an aerodynamic study in fluid lines and graceful yet muscular curves—an aesthetic that, like the car itself, lives at the crossroads of balletic and ballistic. From €2.17 million
BEST SUPERCAR: MCLAREN 750S SPIDER

Already crowned by our sister magazine in the US as 2025 Car of the Year after testers put the vehicle through its paces, the McLaren 750S Spider marks a return to the original spirit of the supercar. The British marque’s latest production flagship delivers the visceral thrill and performance bravado that have long fuelled generations of motoring passion and aspiration—now at a new, more accessible level. The roadster’s purely internal combustion powertrain features a 551 kW 4.0-litre twin-turbo V-8— producing 799 Nm of torque—paired with a seven-speed dual clutch transmission. The setup propels the droptop from zero to 96 km/h in 2.7 seconds and allows for a top speed of 331 km/h.
Inside, the driving experience is elevated with instrument displays that move with the steering column, an enhanced infotainment system, and improved control ergonomics. For further personalisation, the McLaren Control Launcher (MCL) allows drivers to preset and activate preferred drive dynamics at the push of a button. Completing the package is McLaren’s signature exterior design, which evokes the sculpting forces of wind and water on stone—a look as timeless as the emotions it inspires behind the wheel. From €299,795
BEST AUTOMOTIVE MEMBERS’ CLUB: THE COLLECTION PARIS

A private members’ club, supercar art gallery, state-of-the-art garage… there are many ways to describe The Collection Paris—and all are true. The world’s first and most exclusive automotive collector’s club offers exclusivity, discretion and community in truly iconic locations. Born in Paris under the Place Vendôme in 2022, the ultra-luxe sanctuary for car enthusiasts has now opened a new club beneath the prestigious Place du Casino in the heart of Monaco’s illustrious Carré d’Or.
Offering an unmatched level of exclusivity for its members in the region, the club is a beautifully designed retreat. The stylish space is accessed via a discreet entrance that opens to a private, highly secure garage with plenty of room for multiple automobiles. Here, owners can enjoy personalised carcare services and storage, as well as a social hub where they can meet with like-minded individuals, including a network of elite sports drivers and prominent collectors.
A strategic collaboration with Monte- Carlo Société des Bains de Mer (SBM) offers members—of which there will only be 77—access to Monaco’s top hotels, resorts and venues for exclusive experiences. In short, membership offers not just a garage but an exclusive lifestyle.
BEST RESTORATION HOUSE: SINGER CLASSIC TURBO SERVICES

Just as the Porsche 911 is widely considered the gold standard for sports cars, restoration house Singer sets the benchmark when it comes to reimagining the seminal model. Founded in 2009 by Rob Dickinson, the Southern California-based automotive atelier is guided by the philosophy that “everything is important”—an ethos that earned its DLS Turbo services global accolades, and now carries through to its latest triumph: the Classic Turbo restoration.
An homage to Porsche’s first turbocharged 911—the 1970s-era 930—the Classic Turbo treatment begins with an air-cooled 964 generation 911 (built from 1989 through 1994). The donor is stripped to the chassis, meticulously reinforced, and prepared for a full athletic and aesthetic transformation. Highlights include a carbonfibre body, a rebuilt and enhanced Mezger flat-six engine with twin turbochargers and air-water intercooling—and, in the case of the 375 kW commission we drove, a titanium exhaust system. With interiors worthy of an art museum, the result delivers a drive experience that lingers long after you step out of the vehicle. From €741,390
BEST INTERIOR: BENTLEY CONTINENTAL GT SPEED FIRST EDITION

Bentley has earned accolades for creating some of the most sumptuous and satisfying interiors of any carmaker. With 567 kW and a 335 km top end, the marque’s first hybrid Continental is the most powerful Bentley road car ever built—offering one more reason to spend time behind the wheel of this magnificent grand tourer. Opulent leather with distinctive stitching is a Bentley signature, as are a multitude of sustainably sourced wood veneers hand-laid by woodshop artisans, many of whose parents and even grandparents fashioned Bentley interiors over the past decades.
The First Edition offers Bentley’s captivating Rotating Display (otherwise optional), a smooth veneer fascia situated in the centre of the dash that rotates to reveal a 31 cm digital touchscreen or three classic analogue instruments showing outside air temperature, a compass, and a chronometer. The exclusive First Edition comes with a range of features that clearly signify its status, including distinctive exterior badges, treadplates, and embroidery inside. And music lovers will appreciate the Naim for Bentley audio system—unmatched in our experience—which turns this supercar into a concert hall. From €261,970
BEST ELECTRIC VEHICLE: ROLLS-ROYCE BLACK BADGE SPECTRE

Battery-powered vehicles find their ne plus ultra in the Rolls-Royce Spectre, where technology enhances the brand’s core pillars of silent, sumptuous motoring. For 2025, that view still holds firm—though the model itself evolves with the debut of the new Black Badge Spectre. Touted by Goodwood as “the most powerful Rolls-Royce ever”, the latest variant goes beyond an edgier, darkened trim to deliver 491 kW and 1073 Nm of torque—an increase of 55 kW and 174 Nm of torque compared to the base model.
Complementing this boost are the new Infinity and Spirited modes, which summon the full muscle of the two electric motors, powered by a 120 kWh battery. The latter mode serves as a launch control that allows the 2,890 kg (curb weight) Spectre to fire from zero to 96 km/h in 4.1 seconds— an experience we recently sampled on a racetrack outside Barcelona, an unexpected yet fitting stage for a machine that simultaneously redefines and reinforces the legacy of the marque. From €403,225
BEST CUSTOMISATION SPECIALISTS: KLASSEN

To the uninitiated, the act of building partition walls for TVs and integrating espresso machines into the interiors of cookie-cutter Mercedes S-Classes may sound like the dictionary definition of “excess”, but in the infinite, no-limits universe of auto customisation, Klassen really is the quiet, unassuming one in the room. American-based competitor Lexani Motorcars might bring the bling, and fellow compatriot Brabus the high-performance tuning, but the German manufacturer is where heads of state, VIPs and corporate executives gravitate to when seeking discretion and generous dabs of stealth luxury. No wonder the company can count the likes of HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco as an admirer (the Prince was given a personal tour of a lavish Klassen remix at this year’s Top Marques Monaco event).
Indeed, among Klassen’s clientele there’s more clamour for top-level security and armouring than 24k gold accents and neon disco lights that can project onto tarmac. Ballistic protection of up to B7 (meaning it’s capable of resisting both rifle bullets and roadside bombs) has been fitted to a number of vehicles from its resumé—which leans towards Mercedes models such as Sprinter vans, the V-Class and the aforementioned S-Class, but has also included Rolls-Royces and Land Rovers. All up, Klassen—with two decades of experience under its belt—has reconstructed 414 vans and 71 cars, making it the most productive luxury car customiser on the planet. BEST RESTOMODERS: LUNAZ

There’s something beautifully jarring about setting eyes on a swooping 1961 Bentley S series with an electric charging cable dangling from its rear flank. Or opening the doors to a silver Aston Martin DB6 and catching sight of an up-to-the-minute touchscreen unit on the dashboard. Are you dreaming? Did you down too many double espressos at lunchtime? No, you’re just in the presence of one of Lunaz’s modern miracles: the act of fully restoring emblematic masterpieces, then installing them with the latest electric powertrains. From kerbside, the cars maintain their original, history-steeped glory, but peek under hoods and inside cabins and it’s a different story. No stone is left unturned with a Lunaz production; every restomod from the British company—founded by David Lorenz in 2018 and based in Silverstone—is treated to wholesale engineering overhauls (engines, brakes, suspension), bespoke interiors, state-of theart infotainment systems and modern touches such as reversing cameras and banging audio set-ups.
Aside from the Bentley and Aston classics, the firm has applied its sorcery and Tim Burton-like whimsy to a whole raft of landmark projects, including the Rolls-Royce Phantom V and Silver Cloud, Range Rover Classic and Jaguar XK. If heritage cars drive too clunkily for your taste, and modern vehicles are over-homogenised and leave you cold, you know who to call. Prices on request
