A dedicated Aspect Ratio dial— a world-first at launch—opens nine distinct framing options, from the square 1:1 to the sweeping cinematic panorama of 65:24, a nod to Fujifilm’s legendary TX-1 film camera. Even when capturing this panoramic crop, the sensor retains sufficient resolution for large-format printing. The 102 megapixels also power a digital teleconverter lever that simulates 45mm, 63mm and 80mm focal lengths in-camera. A built-in four-stop ND filter—a first for the GFX system—and a leaf shutter syncing the flash at any speed are great for shooting outdoors in bright conditions.
The GFX100RF wears its Fujifilm heritage with quiet pride. Inspired by the beloved X100 series, it offers physical dials for shutter speed, aperture, ISO and exposure compensation, alongside 20 film simulations: Velvia for saturated landscapes, Classic Chrome for street work, Acros for timeless monochrome. Weather sealing and a 5.76-million-dot OLED electronic viewfinder complete a specification set worthy of the price of admission.
