The jewellery brand’s Zodiaque collection shines anew with age-old craftsmanship and fresh materials.
Celestial jewels stylishly emblazoned with one’s star sign have been trending for some time, their talismanic-like look perfectly capturing the current mood for protection and an ever-growing sense of spirituality. But leave it to Van Cleef & Arpels to interpret the vogue with its signature savoirfaire, combined with a proper dose of vintage cred.
The Parisian jeweller first explored the zodiac theme in the 1950s, intricately etching astrological symbols onto gold medals, which channelled the house’s design signature around good-luck charms. In the 1970s, the decade’s bold and rakish mood found expression in several ultra-cool zodiacinspired creations, which were jazzed up with wood, diamonds and ornamental stones, and adorned jewels like pendants and clips but also belts, key rings and even cufflinks.

In 2026, the house has returned to its 1950s roots and notably created 12 yellow gold bracelets dangling with charm-style zodiac metals. Crafted in the age-old technique of stamping—with some signs requiring up to eight strikes to achieve the desired detail— the gold is then expertly reworked to achieve a unique patina, which wonderfully plays with the shine of the brilliant polish finish.
This evocative Zodiaque series, starting from €2,800, is being given a fresh update with charms sculpted in white gold, and paired with either a 50cm or 70cm matching chain. Compared to the almost-vintage like yellow gold, the new finish has “an understated yet luminous aesthetic that serves as an ideal canvas for the intricate designs of the Zodiaque collection,” says Catherine Rénier, chief executive of Van Cleef & Arpels. It also continues the maison’s “long fascination with the universe and its mysteries”, and marks a beautiful next chapter in the house’s enduring celestial story.
