Showcasing the boldest and most innovative yachts to sail the world’s waters, selected by the editors at Robb Report Monaco & Côte d’Azur.

BEST SUPERYACHT REBUILD: G&K YACHTING SA

Having solid fundamentals was essential for the €20 million stem-to-stern refit of Oceanco’s Alfa G, but it was the expertise of G&K Yachting SA in Greece that brought this ambitious transformation to life. Originally delivered in 2004 as Sea Pearl, the 60 m yacht had undergone several upgrades over the years—none as ambitious or all-encompassing as this, though.

With decades of experience in high-end yacht services, G&K Yachting SA brought its signature blend of technical expertise, precision craftsmanship and meticulous attention to detail to the project. In just 10 months, G&K Yachting SA stripped most areas back to the bare structure, enabling a comprehensive redesign and transformation both inside and out—all executed to the highest standard.

The 60 m Alfa G has undergone a stem-to-stern refit, including in the now-contemporary interior.

Working alongside designer Alexandre Thiriat and under the oversight of Oceanco, G&K Yachting SA converted Alfa G into a luxurious, contemporary superyacht. Interior features include a bold grand piano with a red fallboard, sculptural ceiling lighting, sleek dark woodwork and minimalist all-white salons. Six staterooms have also been overhauled with an elegant, modern touch.

Meanwhile the external areas also underwent a dramatic upgrade. The sundeck was reimagined with a sleek alfresco dining area and a new build striking black mast, redefining the yacht’s silhouette. The once understated exterior was replaced with a commanding black hull accented by a distinctive red stripe and a crisp white superstructure.

Alfa G’s modern new identity is as bold as the project, which firms G&K Yachting SA’s reputation as a leader in high-end refits, capable of turning legacy vessels into bespoke masterpieces that rival new builds.

BEST CHARTER YACHT: SEAWOLF X

Its onboard tech sets Seawolf X apart.

Available for charter through Cecil Wright from €380,000 per week, Seawolf X offers a fresh take on luxury yachting. This 43 m catamaran from Rossinavi combines modern design, generous space and advanced technology in a highly efficient yacht that sleeps up to 12 guests. As Rossinavi’s first multihull, Seawolf X delivers more interior volume and better fuel efficiency than comparable monohulls. The design features a sleek curved hull, sunken foredeck and a glass-fronted hot tub, with a full-beam main salon and owner’s suite offering impressive comfort.

What sets this yacht apart is its onboard tech. Developed with Videoworks and the University of Pisa, Seawolf X features RossinaviAI, an adaptive system that learns guest preferences and finetunes lighting, temperature and even engine performance to optimise the whole experience. With its mix of innovation and understated luxury, Seawolf X is a standout choice for those seeking a distinctive, modern charter experience.

BEST NEW SUPERYACHT: Y726, OCEANCO

Oceanco’s newly launched Y726 represents a landmark in bespoke yacht design and construction. Commissioned in 2022 by a longstanding and knowledgeable client, the 111 m vessel reflects a deeply collaborative effort between Oceanco, Espen Øino International, Mark Berryman Design, Lateral Naval Architects and the owner’s experienced team. With a substantial beam of 16 m and a gross tonnage of 4,550 GT, Leviathan is among the largest yachts by volume ever built at the Dutch shipyard.

Her commanding exterior, shaped by Monaco’s Espen Øino, is matched by an interior of understated elegance and warmth from Mark Berryman Design, tailored to support a relaxed, family-focused lifestyle at sea. Lateral, in partnership with Oceanco’s in-house specialists and the owner’s representative, has developed an engineering platform that supports both the scale and ambition of the design. Scheduled for delivery later this year, she stands as a refined expression of purposeful design and seamless collaboration.

BEST ECO YACHT: SUNREEF NEXT

Solar technology is seamlessly integrated into the hull of Sunreef NEXT.

Sunreef Yachts, renowned for its innovation in sustainable catamarans, has unveiled Sunreef NEXT—a bold evolution in eco-luxury design. Far more than a model refresh, NEXT represents a reimagining of life at sea, combining green innovation with refined, liveable spaces. Developed in response to changing client lifestyles, the design prioritises flow, comfort and connection to nature. Expansive, reconfigurable living areas—from the flush flybridge and reimagined bow terrace to the serene Ocean Lounge with its fold-out beach club—offer the sort of onboard versatility once reserved for superyachts.

With solar technology now seamlessly integrated into the hull via Sunreef’s Solar Skin 3.0, and teakfree decking adopted as standard, NEXT reflects a growing desire for increasingly conscious cruising. Meanwhile, interiors are lighter, more organic and highly customisable, from spa-style bathrooms with free-standing tubs to adaptable family living spaces and children’s rooms with bunk beds. For the Riviera’s discerning yacht owners, NEXT offers a fresh interpretation of luxury that’s deeply personal and beautifully sustainable.

BEST SAILING YACHT: PROJECT ZERO

Powered without the use of fossil fuels, Project Zero is the world’s first zeroemissions yacht.

Foundation Zero is made up of a collective of impact investors committed to promoting renewable technologies through open-source design. One of their earliest and most ambitious initiatives is the development of Project Zero, the world’s first zeroemissions sailing yacht. The 69 m superyacht is designed to be powered entirely without the use of fossil fuels, instead relying on the elemental forces of sun, wind and water.

Spearheaded by Dutch design studio Vripack, Project Zero brought together Dykstra Naval Architects, renowned sailing superyacht builder Vitters and a multidisciplinary team including coders, data analysts and a physicist. The yacht is engineered to generate the majority of its energy through hydro-generation while under sail, storing electricity in an advanced battery system. Custom solar panels supplement the renewable energy supply.

Under optimal wind conditions, Project Zero can produce approximately 200 kW of power—10 times its operational requirement— allowing for up to two weeks of full energy autonomy. Visually striking and technologically advanced, it represents a significant step forward in the future of sustainable yachting.

BEST EXPLORER YACHT: VALOR, FEADSHIP

Feadship’s Valor is the perfect balance of elegance and strength.

Feadship’s Valor redefines the modern explorer yacht, challenging the prevailing notion that such vessels must appear overtly masculine or aggressive. At nearly 80 m, this new, steel-hulled, ice-classed yacht was conceived for a repeat Feadship client with ambitions to explore remote regions, including the Northwest Passage. Her styling, while bold, achieves a balance between strength and elegance—an aesthetic departure from the typical utilitarian explorer form.

Beneath Valor’s refined silhouette lies advanced hybrid technology, including solar, battery and ultra-efficient diesel-electric propulsion, enabling up to 48 hours of silent, zero-emissions cruising. The vessel’s ice belt and robust engineering are seamlessly integrated with graceful exterior lines and a warm, naturalmaterial interior by Bannenberg & Rowell. Featuring expansive outdoor areas, including an infinity pool, twin hot tubs and a generous beach club, Valor combines serious capability with sophisticated luxury. She is set to make her debut at the 2025 Monaco Yacht Show.

BEST MEGAYACHT: SAN, ALIA YACHTS

With its transparent main deck, the design of SAN is visionary.

Blurring the line between day boat and superyacht, SAN stands out for its groundbreaking, transparent main deck. At 45 m, the Alia Yachts custom build was conceived to feel as open and airy as a yacht half its size. The owner challenged Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design to deliver uninterrupted sightlines from the beach club all the way to the bow. To achieve this, the designers relocated the staterooms and galley to the lower deck and replaced all salon bulkheads with full-height glass. There’s no maindeck galley or helm to interrupt the view, and even the lounge seating is cleverly recessed into a Japanese-style sunken floor. The result is a strikingly minimalist yacht with warm wood finishes, razor-sharp lines and a seamless connection to the sea. With its innovative layout and serene, modern aesthetic, SAN has earned its place as one of the most visionary recent designs.

BEST WELLNESS YACHT: SEA ROVER, DUTCH DESIGN

Sea Rover features a state-of-the-art spa and Japanese onsen bath.

Sea Rover is the world’s first specially designed wellness yacht, redefining luxury at sea by prioritising holistic living and wellbeing. Created by Dutch Design, a pioneering marine innovation studio led by yacht owner Scott Blum and naval designer Bernd Weel, the 42.5 m vessel blends cutting-edge technology with mindfulness.

Sea Rover embodies modern Dutch design and combines the grandeur of a megayacht with a more compact size, offering a California-inspired minimalist interior that evokes tranquillity and elegance. Every detail is crafted for wellness, from its state-of-the-art spa and gym bathed in natural light to the adaptable sports court. The yacht features opulent suites with sweeping views and a Japanese onsen-style bath. Its expansive beach club, culinary spaces focused on health and design elements such as the Sky View Stairwell and glass engine hallway, create an immersive, rejuvenating experience at sea.

BEST COLLABORATION: RIVA VOLARE

The bespoke interior adds yacht elegance to the proposition.

In a fusion of seafaring heritage and airborne elegance, iconic Italian yacht builder Riva has turned its eye skyward with Riva Volare, a bespoke aircraft interior created in collaboration with private aviation leader Flexjet. The design brings the unmistakable style of Riva’s motoryachts into the cabin of Flexjet’s Gulfstream G650 and Sikorsky S-76 helicopters. The project reflects a meeting of minds between two luxury icons, both known for their attention to craftsmanship, performance and vision. Drawing inspiration from the legendary Riva Aquarama and Aquariva, the interiors feature handstitched leathers, striped wood panelling and Riva’s signature aquamarine accents—taking the spirit of the Riviera from water to air.

For Riva, Volare marks an elegant evolution of its design language, extending its nautical heritage into the realm of private aviation. For Flexjet, it underscores a commitment to crafting distinctive, experience-led journeys. This summer, the customised Sikorsky S-76 will grace the skies above Italy and the French Riviera, while the G650 brings Riva’s idiosyncratic style to global routes.

NEW TENDER: WAJER 55

The Wajer 55 is set to become the tender of choice.

With the unveiling of the new Wajer 55, Wajer Yachts reinforces its reputation for building some of the most refined tenders on the water. Created for those who prefer to take the helm themselves, the 55 combines sleek styling with cutting-edge capability—effortless to handle, yet striking in every marina. Its low-slung, Porsche-inspired profile is matched by intuitive technology including joystick docking, Dynamic Positioning and an extendable swim platform for smooth boarding. A hidden garage houses a Williams Jet tender, allowing easy access to shallow bays, while below deck, warm materials and sculptural forms bring a new level of comfort to day boating.

Quiet, agile and elegantly executed, the Wajer 55 is manufactured for superyacht owners who value precision, practicality and design purity. Arriving this August in Saint-Tropez, it is set to become the tender of choice for the season ahead.
