Next Yacht Group Launches the Maiora 36 Exuma and AB 130

The Italian group’s two latest launches bring together shallow-water cruising, generous outdoor spaces and serious speed.

Italian luxury yacht builder Next Yacht Group has launched two new yachts in Viareggio: the Maiora 36 Exuma and the AB 130. Both are built for owners who want to spend more time outdoors, travel quickly between destinations and anchor closer to shore.

The 36.90-metre Maiora 36 Exuma is the second hull in the series and was developed with Quartostile and Acube Design. Its low profile, broad beam and open layout place the focus firmly on space, views and direct access to the water. A draft of 1.45 metres allows the yacht to enter shallow bays and harbours that can be difficult for yachts of this size to reach. That makes it particularly well suited to cruising grounds such as the Bahamas or the Greek isles, where the most appealing anchorages are often found behind reefs or close to the beach.

There is accommodation for up to 12 guests in five cabins, with large social areas for lunches on deck, afternoons at anchor and longer stays on board. The yacht a top speed of 33 knots, while gyroscopic stabilisers are designed to improve comfort both at sea and when stationary.

The second launch, the AB 130, is the flagship of the AB Yachts range. Its long, low silhouette reflects the brand’s focus on performance, but the yacht also introduces a number of features intended for entertaining and outdoor living. Large windows bring more daylight into the redesigned saloon, while the forward lounge provides a separate place for guests to gather away from the main deck. The sundeck includes an open-air cinema, giving owners another reason to remain outside after sunset.

At 39.65 metres, the AB 130 has the presence of a flagship but can still get close to the coves and beaches that make a summer cruise memorable. Its 1.30-metre draft gives it access to shallower anchorages, while a top speed of 41 knots makes island-hopping a quick and exhilarating affair. Inside, five cabins accommodate up to 12 guests.

The two launches show the range within Next Yacht Group’s portfolio. The Maiora 36 Exuma places open-plan living and access to shallow cruising grounds at the centre of the experience, while the AB 130 adds flagship scale, 41-knot performance and a strong programme of outdoor spaces.

Both yachts are scheduled for delivery to their owners in summer 2026.
