The German design house has joined forces with AB Yachts to create a new range of high-performance yachts, with the first model set to debut in Monaco this September.
BRABUS has spent almost five decades applying its unmistakable design language to some of the world’s most powerful machines. Now, the German marque is moving deeper into yachting through a new partnership with Italian builder AB Yachts.
The two companies have announced plans to create the world’s first BRABUS yachts, combining the German brand’s bold aesthetic and appetite for personalisation with AB Yachts’ expertise in building fast, technologically advanced vessels. The first yacht from the collaboration will make its global debut at the Monaco Yacht Show, which takes place from 23 to 26 September 2026.
While details of the inaugural model remain under wraps, the partnership promises more than a conventional branding exercise. The yachts will be co-designed by BRABUS and AB Yachts, bringing together the former’s approach to materials, finishes and visual identity with the latter’s experience in lightweight construction, waterjet propulsion and high-speed cruising.
For BRABUS, the agreement marks a significant expansion of its marine portfolio. The company already works with Finnish boatbuilder Axopar on a series of high-performance day boats and has partnered with Sunreef Yachts on luxury catamarans. Its alliance with AB Yachts introduces a new proposition aimed at owners seeking the scale and comfort of a yacht alongside the character more commonly associated with a BRABUS supercar.

Founded in 1992 and now part of Next Yacht Group, AB Yachts has established its reputation through a range of open yachts created around speed, handling and a close connection to the water. Its current portfolio stretches from the AB 80 to the AB 130, with certain models capable of reaching speeds of up to 60 knots.
The builder draws on techniques more commonly associated with aerospace engineering, using lightweight composite structures, carefully developed hull forms and waterjet propulsion to deliver performance without sacrificing the spaces expected aboard a modern luxury yacht. That experience provides a natural technical foundation for BRABUS, whose road cars, motorcycles and boats are recognised for pairing dramatic styling with considerable power.

BRABUS calls its approach the “One-Second-Wow”: the idea that a product should make its intentions clear from the moment it comes into view. On the road, that often means sculpted carbon fibre, assertive proportions and highly individual interiors. Translated to a yacht, the possibilities extend from the exterior profile and colour palette to furniture, upholstery and bespoke detailing throughout the interior.
The first result will be unveiled in Monaco this September, with a second world premiere already planned for the 2027 edition of the show. For now, the partnership offers an intriguing indication of what is to come: Italian performance yacht engineering shaped through the distinctive lens of BRABUS.
