From Le Mans to Monaco: How BPM Exclusive is Redefining the Luxury Automotive World

BPM Exclusive

Le Mans winner Patrick Bornhauser built BPM Exclusive off the back of a passion for racing. Today, with new brands, showrooms and a thriving second-hand division, the company is redefining luxury transport in Monaco and across the Côte d’Azur.

In the world of luxury, few objects capture the imagination quite like a supercar. They are, as Guido Giovannelli, general manager of Monaco Luxury and BPM Exclusive, says “something that gives you emotion… Something that makes you feel alive, that makes you feel differently”. For Guido Giovannelli, a dream machine is not simply a car but a living experience of speed, design and dedication.

BPM Exclusive is a luxury and sports car distributor whose owner and chairman is Patrick Bornhauser—a two-time 24h of le Mans champion. Someone who has lived life at 300 km/h, Bornhauser knows better than most what it means to push machines to their limits. His victories on the legendary Circuit de la Sarthe are more than a racing achievement—they are the foundation of his company’s DNA.

Leaning into the same spirit of competition and devotion to his vehicles, Guido Giovannelli says his enterprise is “very lucky because we are selling dreams. It is not just ‘a car’”.

Growing Portfolio

From Monaco to Paris, BPM Exclusive is expanding its roster of world-class brands. “At the end of last year, we took over Pagani, another Italian jewel,” Guido Giovannelli says. “This year we added Maserati as well as Jaguar Land Rover. Today—between Monaco and France—we represent 15 brands.”

With such growth comes the need for new homes to showcase these icons. BPM is opening a new Pagani showroom in Monaco’s Avenue Princesse Grace, along with spaces for Jaguar Land Rover and service centres for Ferrari, among others. “When you take a brand, it looks easy, but you need to prepare,” he says. “You need a showroom, you need service, you need trained people. It’s a lot of work—but it’s also a lot of devotion.”

Beating the Wait

The supercar world is notorious for long waiting lists—sometimes up to five years, mirroring delays in luxury yachting or private aviation. BPM offers a solution in its second-hand division, Monaco- Occasions. “With some exclusive brands you wait months, even years. In Monaco, people arrive and they want their car immediately. That’s why used cars are so important,” Guido Giovannelli says. “We are selling the same volume of used cars as new ones.”

The company stocks around 300 pre-owned vehicles at any time, all with impeccable credentials. In fact, the division has grown so rapidly that BPM is launching a new website with the ambition of becoming one of Europe’s leading players in luxury pre-owned cars.

Beyond Cars

BPM Exclusive positions itself as a creator of experiences—as well as a straightforward car dealer. Annual gatherings, rallies across the Riviera and customer celebrations bring owners together outside of the showroom. “Last year we had a Rolls-Royce Cullinan going off-road through water and mud,” Guido Giovannelli says. “These are the moments where we really share our enthusiasm with our customers.”

Passion at the Core

Behind the gleaming cars and growing business empire lies a unifying theme: devotion to the industry. From mechanics in the service bays to sales managers in the showrooms, the BPM team lives and breathes the manufacturers they represent. “They feel linked to the brands. They love Rolls-Royce, they love Bentley, Ferrari, Aston Martin—they really feel part of their brand,” explains Guido Giovannelli.

That same commitment, rooted in Patrick Bornhauser’s Le Mans triumphs, continues to fuel BPM’s success. As Guido Giovannelli puts it: “The magic is passion—it is not born, it awakens.”
