Flexjet and Riva Reveal Private Jet Cabin Design Collaboration

Flexjet Riva Volare

Riva Volare, a spectacular collaboration between the two iconic brands, has been five years in the making—and it’s worth the wait.

There are moments when two brands, each with a distinct heritage, come together in a way that feels quietly inevitable. Such is the case with Riva Volare, a new cabin design collaboration between private aviation company Flexjet and renowned Italian yacht builder Ferretti Group. Drawing on the timeless appeal of Riva motoryachts, the project brings a sense of marine-inspired elegance to both air and rotor travel.

The Riva Volare design has been introduced aboard one of Flexjet’s Gulfstream G650s and a Sikorsky S-76 helicopter—the latter of which was once owned by Queen Elizabeth II. Both vessels marry performance with craftsmanship to create a stylish and memorable experience for flyers.

The Gulfstream G650, one of the world’s most capable long-range private jets, now features an interior that nods to the iconic 1960s Riva Aquarama—which has featured in many Hollywood movies—while remaining firmly rooted in contemporary design. A similar approach has been applied to the Sikorsky S-76, which will take to the skies across the French Riviera as well as Italy this summer.

The unveiling, held at Milano Prime Linate Airport on 26 June, brought together aircraft and yacht in a static display that underscored the aesthetic synergy between the two worlds. At the heart of the Riva Volare design is an attention to detail that reflects both companies’ shared values. Light and dark tones play off each other through high-gloss striped wood panelling, while soft leather seating is detailed with Riva’s distinctive aquamarine piping. Other references include nautical-striped fabrics and metallic trims. Subtle yet luxurious, the result is a cabin space that feels both sophisticated and understated.

“I have long admired the iconic style of Riva, and seeing this brought to life in our aircraft, is nothing short of exceptional,” said Kenn Ricci, Chairman of Flexjet. “At Flexjet, design is more than an aesthetic bonus, it’s integral to the elevated experience we offer. The launch of Riva Volare in collaboration with Ferretti Group is a tangible expression of our shared commitment to evolving truly memorable experiences for UHNW and selective travellers. With Flexjet in our 30th year, Riva Volare is not only a celebration of a timeless design icon, but also a bold statement of where we’re going—defining the standard for what it means to be a modern luxury brand.”

“Riva style is an expression of elegance that infuses every project with class and exclusivity, both at sea and on land, and now at high altitude as well,” added Alberto Galassi, Ferretti Group CEO. “Riva Volare is another splendid result of our collaboration with Flexjet, a brand with which we share the same passion for constantly raising the quality standards we offer our customers. Contemplating the sky and the clouds while immersed in the world of Riva is an incredibly beautiful and satisfying experience—an absolute must.”

For champions of service and style—qualities long associated with both Flexjet and Ferretti Group—Riva Volare offers something distinctly appealing: a sense of continuity between lifestyle, design and travel. And as Monaco heads into its high season, this new offering is likely to resonate with residents and visitors alike—especially those who value design that travels well, in every sense.
