Lifting the curtain on the 69th edition of the annual ball organised by SBM for the Princess Grace Foundation.
The 69th edition of the Bal de la Rose, held under the High Patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco and chaired by H.R.H. The Princess of Hanover, was a memorable occasion. Organised by SBM in support of the Princess Grace Foundation, the event took place at the Salle des Étoiles at Sporting Monte-Carlo. This year, The Princess of Hanover selected the theme ‘Sunset’ and entrusted Christian Louboutin with creative direction to bring the vision to life.

The venue was transformed into a striking tropical landscape, with lush greenery, vibrant roses, and exotic blooms. A Caribbean-inspired beach café, the Monaco Sunset Bar, allowed guests to relax with cocktails in hand while enjoying the warm hues of the sunset. The atmosphere was further enhanced by the rhythmic beats of reggaeton and Caribbean music, creating a lively backdrop for the evening.
The entertainment lineup was diverse and impressive. Blanca Li, the renowned Andalusian dancer and choreographer, captivated the audience with a performance that blended elements of ballet and contemporary dance. The Ebony Steel Band, a legendary British music group, filled the air with their signature steel pan sounds, while the Guadeloupean collective Kozéika Panam infused the event with their unique mix of tradition and modernity.

Ethnick’97, a carnival group celebrating 25 years of preserving Caribbean traditions, brought their infectious energy to the stage, followed by Parisian DJ Carla Genus, who kept the momentum going with her dynamic sets well into the night.
One of the most anticipated moments of the evening was the performance by Earth, Wind & Fire Experience by Al McKay. The legendary guitarist and ‘groove master’ of the original band, Al McKay, led the band through an electrifying set featuring classics like “September” and “Boogie Wonderland,” bringing the spirit of Earth, Wind & Fire to life for a captivated audience.

The event was a success not only for the entertainment it provided but also for the significant support it offered to the Princess Grace Foundation. Guests left with lasting memories of a vibrant celebration that honoured both the Caribbean spirit and the legacy of Princess Grace.
