Robb Report Monaco & Côte d’Azur presents the most spectacular treats, exclusive experiences and finest stocking fillers for the festive season—and beyond.
The fine craftspeople of Les Ateliers Camus, along with Camus cellar master Julie Landreau, have collaborated with Robb Report Monaco to create a unique collection of just 10 pieces in homage to the late Gérard Basset OBE, a Master of Wine.
Camus La Grande Marque, Hommage à Gérard Basset (70cl) is wrapped in an Ateliers Camus handmade black leather sleeve with a saffron suede lining. The gold-coloured serigraphed bottle reproduces the image of Gérard’s crowning glory in 2010 when he was named the Best Sommelier in the World. It features a skilful blend of aged cognacs with rancio, spice and black pepper notes, and a long finish.
The limited-edition bottle retails for €12,000, with 50 percent of the proceeds going to the Gérard Basset Foundation to fund educational programmes for young people —often from diverse backgrounds— to study wine, spirit or hospitality academic courses. For cognac aficionados who enjoy a sip with soul, this is it.
