As Monaco hosted the Michelin Guide ceremony for the first time, Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer marked the occasion with a dinner that brought together 110 Michelin-starred chefs.
Monaco’s fine dining scene is unmatched for its scale. The Principality is home to seven Michelin-starred restaurants, holding a total of 10 stars, which places it at the centre of European gastronomy. On 15 March, that reputation was brought into focus when 110 Michelin-starred chefs gathered at the Hôtel de Paris Monte- Carlo for an elegant dinner held on the eve of the Michelin Guide France & Monaco ceremony.
Such a meeting of world-leading chefs is rare. Hosted by Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer in partnership with the Michelin Guide, the Chefs’ Dinner united culinary luminaries from across France and Monaco, alongside H.S.H. Prince Albert II and figures from the Principality. Among the top talents in attendance were Alain Ducasse, Yannick Alléno, Marcel Ravin and Dominique Lory.
The menu, conceived by Alain Ducasse and inspired by Dom Pérignon vintages, focused on Mediterranean ingredients—chickpeas, citrus and red mullet—with an emphasis on plantbased cooking and sustainably sourced fish. Nearly 250 guests attended the soirée, hosted across the Salle Empire and Le Louis XV–Alain Ducasse within the hotel.
The following day, Monaco hosted the Michelin Guide France & Monaco Awards Ceremony for the first time—a milestone that further cements the Principality’s role as a hub for contemporary haute cuisine.
