This Parisian pinnacle is the city’s most anticipated luxury newcomer for very good reason.
At the end of 2024, Maybourne hotel group, the industry leader behind iconic hotels such as The Maybourne Riviera and London’s Claridge’s, announced its plans to nearly triple its number of hotels in the next decade, expanding into Paris, New York, Miami and Dubai. As its first foray into the City of Light, it will come as no surprise then that The Maybourne Saint-Germain, in the Parisian quarter of Saint-Germaindes- Prés, is already sparking plenty of excitement among the city’s most influential circles.
Taking pride of place along the Rive Gauche—more specifically within the iconic îlot Saint-Germain, a Parisian landmark since the 17th century—The Maybourne Saint- Germain promises an experience steeped in luxury, heritage and modernity, home to 50 suites and 51 rooms. The best bit? If you’re in the market for a new residential property, it will also house 23 branded residences envisioned by two renowned French interior designers, with seven by Pierre-Yves Rochon along Rue Saint- Dominique and 16 by Laura Gonzalez on Rue de l’Université.
“Paris, with its elegance and timeless style, is an ideal match for Maybourne’s vision of luxury hospitality,” says co-chief executive Gianluca Muzzi. “Our presence in this iconic city reflects our commitment to creating elevated experiences that celebrate the local culture and our brand’s dedication to excellence. This opening marks an exciting step in our strategy to grow selectively in key urban gateways around the world, allowing us to build meaningful connections with our guests through rich and distinctive experiences.”
The property will come complete with a wealth of world-class facilities designed to cater to the needs of the most discerning guests. Think six luxurious F&B options including a high-end Japanese restaurant, patisserie and salon de thé. Guests and residents can also make use of Maybourne’s new wellness and longevity brand Surrenne, which has been causing a stir in London since it opened last summer with a Tracy Anderson Studio, a nutritionist-curated café, a hyperbaric chamber and FACEGYM facials. Set to be one of Paris’s largest luxury spas, it will also boast an expansive pool—one of three in the hotel. The remaining two include a 25 m amenity accessible to residents only, as well as a 30 m rooftop iteration that is available for everyone.
With doors set to open in 2027, that’s more than enough time to source some stylish swimwear options.
